HCS Announcements: Announcements




Grade 12 students are encouraged to visit the bulletin board located in the Guidance Area.  Many post secondary schools will host Open Houses in the coming weeks.

The senior boys soccer team will play an exhibition match at Carleton North Tonight. It’s not that far, so why not make the trip and support our boys! Players, please note the game will start at 5:15pm. 

Senior Boys Basketball Tryouts will be held Wednesday at 4:30pm. Please see Mr. Everett if you have questions or concerns.

Good luck to our middle school girls soccer team as they had to PTA in Grand Falls tonight for their semi-final league game. The game will be at the Grand Falls Soccer complex. Play hard and represent HCS well ladies. 

Post-Secondary Tour (AARAO) – Recruitment Advisors from approximately 50 post-secondary institutions will visit HCS today from 10:45 to 11:45.  Students in Grades 11 and 12 will be provided the opportunity to meet with these advisors to discuss post-secondary options. 

Band and choir practice are after school today! Mrs. Carr is looking for additional singers for the Nov. 11th ceremony. Students interested in performing a group song at the Remembrance Day ceremony are welcome to come to choir practice. Please see Mrs. Carr for more details! 

There will be a middle level student council meet in Mrs. Carr’s room today to discuss the Nov. morning meeting and fitness blast. 

Drama practice : Don’t forget that Wednesday’s work night has been postponed. Wednesday’s practice will be for 3-4:30 only.

The Hartland Legion is looking for some volunteers to help prepare and serve the Remembrance Day meal on Saturday November 10 from 12pm - 3pm, and on Sunday November 11 from 11am - 2pm.  If you are interested in earning volunteer hours by helping with this event see Mrs. Scott by Friday October 26.

Flannel Day

The first dance of the school year will be held on Thursday, October 25 from 7:00 to 9:00pm for students in grades 6-12. This Halloween Dance will feature the DJ services of Kevin Bryant. Students can wear school appropriate costumes and have a chance to win a prize for their costume. All student fees must be paid prior to attending the dance. The dance sign up sheet is now posted at the office, students can sign in guest at breaks and noon time, until Wednesday at noon.
