The JV Boys basketball team had a great game with FCA on Monday night at HCS. The Huskies came out on the losing end of the scoreboard but looked much improved from their first game of the year. The huskies scoring was lead by Camryn Harrington with 16, Parker White with 10 and Mason Brown with 11. Defensive player of the game was Mason Brown.
This notice is for all students who signed up for the New Boots Experiential Learning sessions scheduled for last Tuesday. These sessions will now take place Monday, December 16th. You will be reminded which session you are attending closer to that date. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Everett.
Staff Spotlight – Nov. 20-Today, we would like to shine our staff spotlight on Miss Deidre Cowperthwaite. This year marks Miss C’s 20th year teaching and her 12th year at HCS. Miss C enjoys traveling, being adventurous, reading, and hanging out with her 3 nieces. Her favorite color is blue, she loves science, and her favorite desserts are cheesecake and ice cream. Miss C’s favorite quote is by Robert Frost, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”
We would like to encourage all our students and staff to support our campaign to support the River Valley Cancer Support Group by raising funds here at HCS. We want to get to our goal of $3000 and only have the next two weeks to get it done! The Senior Boys Basketball team wants to challenge all sports teams to match or exceed their donation raised at their weekend tournament. They donated $100 to the “Shave It” campaign. Tomorrow, there will be candy canes on sale at lunch time. Bring your dollar as there are some amazing flavors to choose from - Jolly Rancher, Life Saver, War Heads, Sour Patch! Let’s do this Huskies!
Remember that people may forget what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel. Be extra kind today!
