Last night our Senior Girls and Boys Basketball teams played league games against John Caldwell. Both teams came out on top and move to 1-0 in the Western Conference. We have Husky Pride’s going out to Drew Crouse, Emily McCready, Julianna Culberson, Madison Girdwood and Reese Magnum. These ladies were a huge help in assisting the elementary students in completing their surveys this week. Thank you so much!
We have had a lot of Husky Prides given out this week. Please keep them coming staff. The following students have won a prize from a random draw of names from our November Husky Prides, Tori Ross, Gabby Noble, and Hailey Culberson. Please come to the office after O Canada to claim your prize. December winner will be announced in two weeks time.
Today we will be celebrating our students who had perfect attendance for the first quarter. Please wait to be called around 9 this morning.
Today we are participating in the 9th Annual Ring the Bell Campaign. The Grades K-8 students have created paper chains because they demonstrate the importance of connecting to others and will serve as a visual reminder to students that they aren’t alone. As humans, we want to be connected and loneliness is an increasing problem in our society. Please be ready to stand together at 11 today for youth mental health as we Ring a Bell.
Don’t forget that next Wednesday, December 11th is Christmas Character Day. See what you can find to represent Christmas; you could be Santa, an Elf, the Wisemen, an Angel, the Grinch, or even Rudolph. Take the weekend to get creative and see what you can come up with. We look forward to your Christmas characters!
Staff Spotlight - Dec. 6 – Today, we would like to shine our staff spotlight on Mr. Walter Prosser. Mr. Prosser is one of our custodians. He is usually the first person in the building each morning and he makes sure the lights are on and the doors are open for staff and students to arrive. His favorite sport is fishing, season Spring, and he says ‘No thank you” to desserts. Mr. Prosser’s favorite quote is, “I’ll check with Clarence and get back to you.”
You will never have this day again, so make it count.
