Hello MAS families! I apologize with the late email for the Week at a Glance, but with the excitement of the Halloween Howl we forgot to push send. 

I want to say a BIG "THANK YOU" to all our amazing parent, staff and teen volunteers for making the Halloween Howl on Friday night a Spooktacular event! It was a wonderful night filled with lots of fun and laughter. Thank you also to the families for coming out and supporting our school community.  We hope you enjoyed the evening. 
 
This week at MAS we start the week with a field trip to the Playhouse to see Robinson Crusoe and Friday. This trip was sponsored by a wonderful grant program the Playhouse offers schools. Last year we applied for this grant and were successful recipients. The grants are donations secured by the playhouse from local businesses. We are very grateful for this opportunity and experience.
 
Thank you to the families that participated in our Santa's Little Helper fundraiser. Monies raised from this will go towards helping to fund our Christmas Dinner trip to Moco and our Christmas shopping spree. Out total funds raised yet has not been confirmed, but when that comes in I will announce. 
 
A few reminders: 
 
Playhouse Field trip- On Monday October 29th we will be going to the playhouse to see Robinson Crusoe and Friday. The show is at 11am. 
 
School Clothing Order- On Thursday, November 1 we will be sending home order forms for school clothing orders. This is completely optional. You can use schoolcashonline to pay, but we ask that all order forms please be returned to the school. We will be having school spirit days throughout the year that students will be invited to wear school clothing or the school colors. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office.
 
Halloween Day- Students are invited to dress in orange and black. If you are intending to send in a treat for the classroom, please keep in mind the Health and Nutrition policy 711.

Monday, Oct. 29-  Field Trip to Playhouse- Robinson Crusoe & Friday

Tuesday, Oct. 30 - Hot lunch Tots n Taters. Choir at 9:45am. Estey Afterschool Art program.

Wednesday, Oct. 31- Halloween- students invited to dress in black and orange.

Thursday, Nov. 1- Hot Lunch Great Canadian Bagel.  Clothing orders come home.

Friday, Nov. 2- Picture Re-takes. (forms must have been returned) Hot Lunch Tots n Taters.  LHHS Clubs. 

Upcoming Dates:
 
November 8- Remembrance Day ceremony. 
November 9- No School for students.  
November 12- No School. Remembrance Day.
November 15- Clothing order forms due back. PSSC and Home and School meeting
November 16- LHHS Clubs
