Posts: Weekly Memo - Oct. 24-28

Happy Friday, everyone! We had another great week of learning here at McAdam
Avenue. It was “Safe Schools Week” so we practiced bus evacuation, a lockdown
and a site evacuation. Unfortunately, it was raining on Tuesday so we are
postponing our fire drill until next week. The pancake breakfast on Thursday
was delicious – many thanks to Kiwanis and our Home and School volunteers for
providing this for our students and staff! Great news – our Java Moose
fundraiser brought in over $1100 for student activities at MAS! Thank you so
much to our wonderful school community for all the support with this! We also
want to thank our parent, Becky, for coming in on Friday to walk us through an
obstacle course while showing us what it would be like if we had visual
impairments. Please see the image attached. I also want to thank you for taking
the time to fill out the Family Survey that supports our School Improvement
Plan. We were very pleased with the results and received some great ideas about
how we can do better as a school to be more inclusive. Please see the results
of the parent and student surveys attached.
