Good afternoon!

We hope everyone had a good week! Our students are really enjoying
student-led clubs and are taking initiative to be ‘leaders’ of these clubs. It
is so great to see. We are now offering the following clubs: art, hockey,
rock-painting and Pokemon! Thanks to our teachers who are supervising, as well
as a parent who will be hosting the Pokemon Club starting next Friday.

Reminders/Items to Note:

-I (Mrs. Jordan) will be out on medical leave until February 6. If you need
support during the time, please reach out to your child’s teacher or to Ms.
Elizabeth McCabe who will be in the office fulfilling my duties during this
time (Elizabeth.McCabe@nbed.nb.ca)

-Just a reminder that drop-off in front of the school in the ‘drive through’
zone is Kiss and Drop only. If it is going to take longer than a few seconds to
drop off your child, please park in one of our designated spots.

-The February calendar will be sent out next week.

-Home and School will be doing a “Gift Card Raffle” on March 1 in support of
student activities and are looking for donations of gift cards! If you would
like to donate a gift card, please send it in with your child. Thank you so
much in advance!

-You may be aware that EECD is looking to make
changes to the French Immersion program beginning this September. They
shared some information with parents in an email sent out to you on Dec. 15th and
they are holding public consultation sessions. The next session will be
held in Fredericton at the Delta Hotel on Wednesday, Jan. 25th from
6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  You may also wish to provide feedback through an EECD
survey which you can access here:

Thank you and have a safe and wonderful weekend.
