Happy sunny Friday afternoon! We hope everyone had a wonderful week! On
Monday, students attending Black History Month presentations at Nashwaaksis
Memorial which students and staff really enjoyed. Thursday, we were treated to
a GREEN breakfast as an early St. Patrick's Day celebration. Thank you to the
Home and School and Kiwanis for making this happen. Today, Mr. Collet's
Kindergarten class surprised us with a St. Patrick's Day parade and treats in
the gym. Then, we stayed for an Irish dance party! I have attached a picture of
Mr. C for your enjoyment.

Week at a Glance:
-Tuesday, March 21 – Down Syndrome Special Sock Day – We are providing
‘special socks’ to all students and they’ll be distributed that morning by a
special grade 1 student! We will
be having a short assembly at 9am to talk about Down Syndrome and to get a
picture of all of our socks.
-Hot Lunch orders due (April)
-Wednesday, March 22 – Ramadan begins; World Water Day
-Families
with children in Kindergarten and grade 5 should have received an email from
the District with a link to sign up for early French Immersion (grade 1) or late French immersion (grade 6).
This registration opens today. The link is also on the ASD-W website (
https://asdw.nbed.ca/
).
-Thursday, March 23 – Yearbook orders due
-Friday, March 24 – NO SCHOOL for students – Teachers will be writing report
cards and engaging in professional learning with Ainsley from The
Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick.

The April calendar will go home the last week of March
-Sunday, March 26 – World Purple Day (epilepsy)
-Monday, March 27 – Please wear purple for World Purple Day for epilepsy!
-Whole school math fact BINGO
-Tuesday, March 28 – Parent/teacher time options will go home. Please return
by Monday, April 3.
-Thursday, March 30 – Student Voice Meeting
-STAR student assembly
-Home and School whole school breakfast
-Friday, March 31 – Friendship Friday read aloud
Items to note:
-Don’t forget about our McAdam Avenue Family Library sign-out! I will get
notified if you sign up to borrow a book and will send it home with your child.
If you intend to keep the book for several weeks, please continue to sign up
