Week at a Glance June 11-15

Hello MAS Families. We have had an exciting and busy week here at MAS. We welcomed 8 baby chicks into our kindergarten classroom on Wednesday/Thursday. They have been visited by all students and are very cute to hold and cuddle. We had our final visit to York Care on Thursday where the students and residents joined in games, had cake and juice and a great farewell. Some of our grade 3-5 students went to our District track and field day and had a great day. They were by far the best behaved students, tried their best, and had fun. Some our students did well enough to walk away with ribbons. Congratulations to all our track and field students! We also had our last day with our LHHS clubs. Students truly enjoyed the time spent learning from the older students. This has been a wonderful partnership.

Jump Rope For Heart-  Our Jump day was lots of fun! Prizes have arrived and will be handed out on Monday. We have been given our grand totals and will host our 'Pie in the Face' day on Friday, June 15th. Our top fundraisers were - 1. Adah, 2. Layla, 3. Evelyn and Audrey, and 4. Ethan. Thank you to all that fund raised.

They will need to bring the following- swimsuit, towel, plastic bag, sunscreen and bug spray (best to apply before coming to school in the morning) water bottle, and bag lunch and extra snacks. Be sure to remember under clothing if your child intends to wear their bathing suit to school on that day.
