Dear Parent and
Guardians,
We have a short
but busy week ahead! Just reminder that there is no school this Friday (Nov 8th)
or next Monday (Nov 12th). Also, if you child has not returned their
“show what you know” binder please do that as soon as possible.
Reminders:
Remembrance
Day Ceremony-
On
Thursday, November 8th at 1pm we will be having our Remembrance Day Ceremony.
Any students involved in Guides, Cubs, Sparks, etc. are invited to wear their
uniform on that day. Parents are also invited to join us, if you wish.
Please notify me by Wednesday, November 7th if you plan to attend and we
will be sure to have seats available for you.

Picture retake order forms are due back on Thursday, November 8th.
What
we are learning this week:
Literacy
: Students are continuing to work on
their review of the play we saw “Robinson
Crusoe and Friday” This will be students formal writing piece for this
reporting period so we will be spending a lot of time on it. We will be discussing strategies for
editing our own writing as well as reviewing strategies to improve our reading.
Math
: This week we are working on
estimating/rounding numbers. As well as starting multiplication and division. I
will be updating the extra practice for these concepts soon.
Science
: We are looking at food webs and food
chains this week in science. How animals and plants interact in their habitat.
French
: We have begun our unit on family and
close friends in French class. We will be doing various activities that include
vocabulary relating to family.

practice at 9:45am.
