Guardians, 

 

I want to congratulate
all the students on two amazing Christmas concerts. They worked hard and we are
all so proud. This week is our final week before Christmas break. We have some
special activities going on throughout the week.

 

Reminders: 

 

MAS
Clothing
-
Our clothing order has arrived. We will be sending orders home on Monday. If
the order is a gift, please be sure to let me know.

 

Christmas Angel
Tree- 
Thank you to our school community for being so kind and
generous during the holiday season. Every angel has been taken off the
tree. When
you return the gift, we ask that it come back wrapped with the angel
tree tag attached to the gift. Please have wrapped gifts back to the
school no later than December 20th.

 

Tots
and Taters
- Reminder there is NO hot lunch orders this week on
Tuesday and Friday. Please be sure to send a lunch with your child if they
normally order.

 

MAS Christmas
Caroling
-
Reminder on Tuesday December 18th we are inviting students and
parents back to the school to spread some Christmas cheer around the
neighborhood. We will meet here at 6pm and break into groups to
go caroling. We will then return to the school around 7pm for hot
chocolate and cookies. Feel free to wear a Christmas hat.

Dec. 17- 
Pizza hot lunch. MAS clothing order coming home. 

 

Tuesday,
Dec. 18- 
String Quartet visit. Christmas Caroling 6pm. 

 

Wednesday,
Dec. 19-
 Christmas
shopping spree.  Milk forms due.

 

Thursday,
Dec. 20 -
 Hot
lunch Great Canadian Bagel.  Wear fun Christmas Clothing (sweaters,
shirts, etc)


Friday,
Dec. 21- 
Christmas PJ day. Come dressed in your favorite Christmas
jammies. Pancake breakfast for all. Multi-age Christmas stations. 
Reminder this is the last day before Christmas break and it is a full day.



 

What
we are learning this week:

 

 
 

Literacy: This week we will be continuing our
work with poetry. We will be focusing on rhyming poems and limericks. Students
will be reading poems as well as creating their own.

 

 
 

Math: This week we will be doing math
review of measurement to prepare for our next unit. We will also be reviewing
all math concepts we have covered so far in our math stations.

 

 
 

Science: In science, we will be looking at
and experimenting with physical and chemical changes in matter.  

 

 
 

Health: This week we are continuing our
discussion on safety and how students can play a role in keeping themselves
safe in a variety of different situations.

 

 
 

French: In French will be doing holiday activities
to learn new vocabulary. We will be discussing traditions around the holidays
and learning many new words.
