Today in science we had a great discussion about what makes an experiment, what we think of when we hear the words science experiment and if all experiments have certain things in common.

We realized that most, if not all experiments have these things in common:

1. they are part of the scientific method, which means

a) there was a testable question made

b) there was a hypothesis made from the testable question

2. all experiments must have a clear list of all of the materials, equipment and safety concerns

3. all experiments must have a clear list of instructions to follow

I've included a copy of the explore activity with the questions to be answered for next class.
