Today we worked on collecting more student learning evidence on integers, and then had a lesson on how to model the multiplication of two fractions. We can show fraction multiplication using pattern blocks, counters (diagrams of counters) and also what is terms the "area model". I like the area model the best to model fraction multiplication.

We worked through examples 1 - 3 pg. 111, and for homework pg. 113, questions #6, #7.
