Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great March Break.

In grade 8 math we have started a new unit on Rates, Ratios and Percents. We begin this unit on percents - what they are, how to represent them and how to find percents.

Today we looked at using hundreds squares to represent percents. We went over a couple of text examples and then for practice I assigned 4 questions to be done for tomorrow: pg. 239, #6, 8, 10 and 11.

I've attached a copy of the 100s grids in case you need more.

Mrs. Susan Morehouse (our math lead) will be visiting our class over the next couple of weeks to help out and see how things are going.
