Regional Science Fair Awards!

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the 2022 Virtual North-West NB and South-East NB Regional Science Fairs! We had 32 projects in total. It is inspiring to see the students' interest and enthusiasm in STEM through their projects.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the tremendous support from our students’ teachers and parents who have been there every step of the way! Their dedication helps students thrive to better themselves and the world around them.

I would like to acknowledge the amazing support and time provided by the Judging team of educators and professionals in their fields. We had a total of 25 judges review the projects from April 8—12 for both regions. Thank you!

  • Sanofi BioGenius Canada Award: An outstanding project by students in grades 7-12 related to biotechnology – the use of biological systems to produce goods and services – or life sciences. Recipients will be contacted following the fair with details. This is a monetary prize.

  • Grand Prize Awards: 5 students per region are selected to be Finalists at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (Grades 7-12) and will receive a Purple CWSF Finalist award on Project Board plus individual medals that will be sent to them through their school address.

  • Regional Awards: This year the judges agreed that all the projects should receive recognition and award all projects with a regional award. They will receive a Regional Teal Ribbon on Project Board, individual medal and prize money which will be sent to them through their school address. (Grades 6-12)

60th Anniversary - CWSF

Youth across Canada are able to take their STEM projects to the next level by participating in STEM fairs. These competitions include local or regional fairs, the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF), and various international opportunities.

The Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) is the country’s largest annual youth science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) event, bringing together top young scientists and their projects, selected by our national network of over 100 regional STEM fairs in every province and territory.

Check out the 60 years of CWSF Infographic that includes milestones and achievements.
