Due to several factors, ASD-W
will not be hosting a STEAM Expo event this year. We will, however, be
supporting ASD-W students who wish to compete in the virtual NB
North-West Regional STEM Fair
on April 12th, 2022.

ASD-W can send 12 Middle
Level and 12 High School projects, to the virtual NB North-West
Regional STEM Fair on April 12th, 2022.

If you have students who wish to
participate, please ensure they register with Jon
Hoyt-Hallett. If you have done projects with your entire class, I would ask
that you send along the names of the top projects to Jon Hoyt-Hallett
, jon.hoyt-hallett@nbed.nb.ca All submissions are due no later than Friday, March 25th, 2022.

I will confirm
registration with ASD-W students on Tuesday, March 29th and
provide them with next steps. If we exceed the 12-student limit at either level,
ASD-W will send 12 projects as determined by a
selection committee using the NB Science Fair
Evaluation Rubric (attached).

Attached you will find
information about Regionals (project template, entry guide, and judging
rubrics, etc.) and below are links to the North-West New Brunswick Regional
site as well as safety and ethics information. Regionals will be using ProjectBoard
as their virtiual platform, this is the same platform that was used last year.
