Growing Up in Armyville

Article Posted: Tuesday, November 15, 2016

A book has been launched that looks at the effects of military deployments on students.

Growing Up in Armyville provides a close-up look at the adolescents who attended Armyville High School between 2006 and 2010. Co-authored by Deborah Harrison and Patrizia Albanese, the book considers the past, present and potential role of schools in supporting children who have been affected by military deployments.

Anglophone West School District is proud to have been partners in the development of the book and extends a heartfelt thank you to the hundreds of students, families and military personnel who shared their personal feelings and experiences with the authors.
