*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  

First Half- Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green classrooms will report to homerooms during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, black and white teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors   

Second Half- Blue, Purple, Black, and White will report to their homerooms and grade level groups from Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 

Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the gym, grade 6 groups report to the driveway/compound area, and grade 7 groups will report to the field.   

Ski & Snowboard Club at Poley Mountain. Is back!!

Gay-Straight Alliance:  

GSA meets on Wednesdays in the Orange Room, 307. New members are always welcome but need to meet the Covid-vaccination rules for extra-curricular activities. See Mrs. Sabin, Mrs. Shannon, Mrs. Welch or Mme. Kelly with any questions!

CHILDREN’S WISH -  The Yellow Team will be selling raffle tickets for a candy bouquet! You can buy tickets at lunch time from yellow team students. Tickets are $1 each and the winner will be drawn on Tuesday, November 30th! 

Mr. Cosman’s class is hosting a jersey day, this Friday, November 26th!  Wear your favorite jersey for a $1, all money to Children’s Wish. 

PE LEADERSHIP- bring in $5 no later than Block A Friday to order pizza for those interested in pizza for lunch Friday afternoon. Meeting Block E Friday, make sure you have permission from your teacher to attend.  

Our soccer and cross country Athletes of the month will have their yearbook photo taken block A in the gym 

ATHLETICS  

Badminton team-   

 Gr 6 badminton team practice (today) thursday 3-430pm   (make sure your drive is here 430 sharp as Mr Bacon has to leave then. 

Next week practices:  

Monday and wednesday will be Grade 6 team practice 3-430 pm  

Tuesday and Thursday will be team practice for both the Gr 7 and 8 team  till 5 pm. 

Basketball clinic-  This is open to all grades. This is not a tryout but rather an opportunity to improve your skills prior to tryouts that will be Dec 15th. You must forward your vaccination to Mr Laskey before attending. This is a free clinic that will run every tuesday from 5-630 starting this Tuesday Nov 30th. 

Running Club – Practice will be held this Friday after school 3:15- 4:15 

 Cheer: - practice friday. All students who missed tryouts in September due to not being vaccinated, can tryout this Friday (Nov 26) . You must send proof to Mr Laskey before you tryout. Practice is till 530. Make sure your drive is on time.
