Hello! Today is Monday, June 13th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few messages for Raiders and their families.
 
I want to begin with a reminder that students must be present at RVMS for the entire school day in order to attend any afterschool events. This is particularly pertinent information for Gr. 8 students who are planning to attend the Gr. 8 Cabaret. You must be in attendance for the full day on Wednesday and cannot leave early to prepare.
 
Also, this is a final reminder to Gr. 8 parents that all assignments must be completed, Cabaret tickets must be purchase and Yearbooks must be ordered before the Gr. 8 students leave for Quebec on Wednesday. Those families who requested extra tickets may now contact the office to purchase those tickets.
 
For the remainder of my Gr. 6 & 7 students, Yearbooks can be ordered through your Homeroom Teacher until the end of the day on Thursday, June 16th. Yearbooks are $20 and include all homerooms and events and activities at RVMS.
 
Next week we will have a school supply list for 2016-2017 school year. It will be sent home with final Report Cards and will also be posted on the school website at rvms.nbed.nb.ca. I would encourage students to save any items they have left over from this year to help limit costs for the next school year. We hate to see perfectly good math sets and calculators and coloured pencils thrown in the garbage. Please encourage your child to bring these items home to you for reuse next year.
 
As mentioned last week, our final Awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 on Thursday, June 23rd. We recognize all Gr. 8 students, High-Academic students in Gr. 6-8 and major award winners at this ceremony. Homeroom teachers will contact you if your child is scheduled to win a major award.
 
The final day for students is Friday, June 24th and students will be dismissed at 11:30 on that day. Report Cards go home on the final day and will also be available for pick-up at the school office until Tuesday, June 28th.
