Hello! Today is Wednesday, February 15th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with some messages for all Raiders and their families.
First, we would like to invite all Raiders, past and present to our 40th Anniversary Open House. This event, “RVMS Celebrating 40 Years of Learning and Growing as a Community” takes place next Tuesday, February 21st, 2017, from 6:30-8:00pm. Come meet friends from the past, walk down memory lane with pictures and yearbooks spanning the school years from 1976-77 to 2016-17, tour the school or view a running slide show of school photos while enjoying light refreshments. All community members are welcome!
Our Heritage Fair has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 28th. This will allow students to complete and present their projects in the classroom prior to the school-wide fair and I am sure will alleviate some stress for families and teachers as well!
On Wednesday, March 1st we are holding our annual “Much Video” School Dance here at RVMS. We will extend the regular dance hours for this event which will run from 6:30-8:30 pm.
I also want to let families know about a great event being sponsored by the four area High Schools. It is called “It Takes a Village to Raise a Teen”: Drug Awareness, What Every Parent Needs to Know. It is scheduled for Monday, February 27th at 6:30 pm at St. Malachy’s High School. I will attach a copy of the information flyer to the e-mail version of this message and also include it on our website.
A final note: Friday, February 24th is a PD Day and there is no school for students on that date and March 6-10 is March Break for all schools in New Brunswick.
