Hello! Today is Monday, June 19th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few messages for Raiders and their families.
We have a very busy week ahead!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, is the last day to order Yearbooks. They are $20 and can be purchased through your Homeroom teacher.
Wednesday is our Gr. 8 Cabaret. Pictures begin at 5:30 with dinner served at 6:00. Tickets for Gr. 8 students and their parents are available until tomorrow morning at 9:00. I would like to remind all Gr. 8 students that they must be present at River Valley all day if they wish to return to attend the Cabaret in the evening. This is a longstanding expectation for all evening school events.
Copies of the Gr. 8 Year-end Video, including pictures from Cabaret, are available for $15 each. If you want to be included in the Cabaret pictures, you must have Mr. Vincent take your picture on the evening of Cabaret.
Because Chef Frank is preparing for Cabaret, there is no cafeteria service on Wednesday. Final day for cafeteria service is Thursday.
On Thursday our annual Awards Ceremony will take place in the gym. The ceremony begins promptly at 9:30 and the gym doors will open for parents at 9:00. If your child is a recipient of one of the major awards at this event, you will receive a call from their Homeroom Teacher. If you are taking your child home after the ceremony, please remember to sign them out at the main office.
Chef Frank offers a pancake breakfast on the last day of school. Tickets were sold for the past two weeks and sales are now closed. Students who purchased tickets can proceed directly to the cafeteria on Friday morning.
Report Cards will go home on Friday morning. Students may leave the building after receiving their Report Cards only if they have a note (not a phone call or e-mail) from their parent. If you or your child are unable to pick up your Report Card on Friday morning, they will be available in the office on Friday afternoon and all day Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Finally, copies of the school calendar for next year and the School Supply List for September are available on our website at www.rvms.nbed.nb.ca
