Hey Raiders! We have a few messages and reminders for all families for Dec 5-Dec 20

1.       We know that many families travel and plan trips during the school year. Although we always encourage reading and journaling while away from school, we do not provide work packets for students who are absent during the school year. If your child will be away from school, for any amount of time, when they return, they will need to attend workroom and check with their teachers to catch up on missed work.

2.       We have two initiatives ongoing to support our community. Please send in any non-perishable food items or donations of new or gently used winter clothing by tomorrow, Friday, December 6^th. All donations will go to support those in need in our community.

3.       Over 230 of our students recently sent cards and messages to Canadian Forces Troops stationed away from their families over the Holidays! Great job Raiders!

4.       Next week we have a dance scheduled on Thursday, December 12^th. Students must be in regular attendance at school for the full day to attend the dance. The cost is $5. Indoor shoes required.

5.       Next week, Dec 9-13, our students will be completing the “Our Survey” activity. This is a yearly, anonymous survey used to measure student’s involvement, engagement and safety at school. This survey will be completed with Mr. Vincent during regularly scheduled Tech classes.

6.       Ms. McCluskey and her student leaders have a Scholastic Book Fair running with orders due at school or online no later than Monday, December 9^th.

We want to send out big congratulations to Gr. 7 Raider, Mackenzie Snodgrass! Mackenzie’s Christmas card design has been chosen as the official card of 2019 for Mr. Norm Bossé, who is the NB Child, Youth and Senior Advocate.  Her design will be professionally printed and sent to various agencies across Canada, and to all NB MLAs and Deputy Ministers. Awesome work Mackenzie!

Dec 20                   Last Day before Winter Break (full day)

Jan 6                     Staff Return – PL Day (1/2 day by ECD & ½ day school based)

Jan 7                     Students Return to School
