Course Selections

Most returning students have now completed their course selections for next year.  The next step is for homeroom teachers to meet with Vice Principals and Guidance to review each student’s selections individually.  Based on the requests the school timetable is then created.

Parent signatures are required for these forms.  If you have not signed a course selection form for a student, please ask them about it this weekend!  You can find the forms at the end of the course selection booklet available on our school website:  Academics – Course Selection Booklet 2019.

Hopefully you have also seen the report cards which went home yesterday.  Up to date marks and attendance are also always available through PowerSchool.

Celebrating Student Success
Over the past few weeks we have had so much to celebrate!  We have had:
·         Two teams earned spots at the National Debate Championships
·         A student won first place for the Grade 12 level is the Skills Canada Welding competition for New Brunswick
·         A student become the only semi-finalist from Atlantic Canada in the Poetry In Voice Competition
·         Students earn first and third place in the district oratorical competitions – in both English and French.
·         Many of our students have been awarded significant scholarships over the past few weeks as well.
·         A small group of students presented at the ASD-S Innovation Day to teachers from throughout the district to showcase our Culinary Tech program
·         And more….

We are trying to celebrate all of these accomplishments both here at school and through our various social media platforms!  Keeping watching for more student accomplishments to be celebrated in the coming weeks.  It is such a testament to the variety of areas where our students are excelling.
