​June Exam Schedule

Three weeks from today will be the final day of classes for this school year.  The exam schedule is posted throughout the school for student to refer to.  It is also attached to this email.
 
Relay for Life
We have finished totaling up donations for this year’s Relay for Life – and it was another record year!  Our students raised over $28000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.  Harbour View’s Relay is a model used for other schools throughout Atlantic Canada.  Thank you to our Leadership 120 class for the organization and promotion of this year’s event.
 
International Students
Harbour View hosts more international students through AEI (Atlantic Education International) than any other school in our district.  This is thanks to families, individuals, and community members who welcome these students into their homes.  Some students stay for a 6-week period, while most stay for a full semester or a school year.  Attached is an information sheet about the program.  Homestays are provided a monthly stipend throughout the students’ stay.  If you have any questions about the program, you can reach out via the contact information provided on the pamphlet, or by contacting the school office.
 
Arts Gala
Our annual Arts Gala featuring our school bands, choirs, and an exhibit by our Photography 120 classes will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 7:00pm.
 
Extra-curricular Awards Ceremony
Our Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 6:00 in the Auditorium.  There is a reception in the main hall beginning at 5:30.
 
Reminder:  No school on Monday for the Victoria Day holiday.
