The plan below will be in place regardless of the level of recovery we are in (Red, Orange, or Yellow).  The only change would be if we were to be closed due to the combination of Red and a positive case in our school (as described in the new Alert Level: Red Guidelines).

  • Our current assessment week schedule will remain in effect regardless of the recovery phase.
  • Students are expected to complete their assessment in person at the scheduled time unless otherwise directed by Public Health. This would include not being able to attend due to screening protocols in effect the day of the assessment.  Students not able to write at the scheduled time due to Public Health guidance will be provided a time later in the assessment week.
  • If a student is unable to attend their assessment in person, parents must contact the school through the main office (658-5359).  An administrator will follow-up regarding the plan to complete the assessments.

As a reminder, students only attend school when they are scheduled to complete an assessment.  Classes end this Thursday, with the assessment schedule beginning on Friday.  Regular bus runs are in place for the week - along with an extra run leaving HVHS at 12:30 daily and dropping off along the Westfield Road up to the flashing light in Westfield.  This is to help some students who may write in the morning but do not have an assessment in the afternoon.

As long as we have no interruptions due to weather, Semester 2 will begin on Wednesday, February 3rd beginning with our M-Z cohort.  We will release a calendar for February as we get closer to that date.
