Hello! Today is Tuesday, March 10th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with some reminders for all Raiders and their families.
 
First of all, we are coming up to our second Report Card. Report Cards will be sent home with students on Monday, March 23rd.
Parent/Teacher meetings are scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, March 25th and for the afternoon on Friday, March 27th. We
will be running Student-Led conferences school wide during this set of meetings. More information about the student-led meetings
and appointment times will be coming to you in the next few weeks.
 
As a result of Parent/Teacher meetings, there is no school for students on Friday, March 27th.
 
We have our traditional school holidays over the Easter Weekend with no school on Friday , April 3rd or Monday, April 6th.
 
You may also have heard through local media that one of our PD Days , Monday, April 20th has been cancelled. There will be regular
classes for all students on that day.
 
I want to let families know that the local RCMP detachment will be coming to RVMS to observe how we run our Lockdown procedure .
This means that we will have another practice Lockdown drill sometime this week.
 
I know that parking is becoming increasingly difficult outside our building . Please remember to stay out of the traffic circle during
morning and afternoon bus times. We ask that students be dropped off in one of the lower parking lots during these times . We have
had a few close and dangerous incidents with students trying to load or unload from buses and we ask for your support by not
coming into our bus zone at these times to protect the safety of our students.
 
Finally, we have just begun a new round of activities for our ASAP. I have attached them to the e-mail version of this message for
your convenience.
