Messages April 8, 2015

Hello! Today is Wednesday, April 8th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few messages for Raiders and their families.

Our school Heritage Fair will be on display in the cafeteria tomorrow evening, Thursday, April 9th at 6:30. These projects were selected from class level presentations to move onto the next round of judging at the school level. The public is welcome to come visit and explore these projects in the cafeteria.  Please come and wander through the projects on display.

On Friday, April 10th five RVMS students will be headed to the Regional Science Fair in Saint John. Kirsten Howe & Abby Snodgrass will be representing Gr. 8, Colin O’Brien will be our Gr. 7 representative and Aumrey McFarlane & Emma McKinley will be attending as Gr. 6 representatives for RVMS. We wish all of our Raiders good luck!

We also thank all students who participated in Science Fair this year many of whom received support and encouragement from you, their families. Well done Raiders!

Spring is in the air and several of our students have begun to bring skateboards and bikes to school. We encourage students to get some great early morning physical activity by biking or boarding to school. By next week we are hopeful that the bike racks will be useable. Once that happens, bikes must be locked outside. Boards can be brought to the main office for storage during the day. We do insist that all students wear helmets. We will not allow boards or bikes on property without helmets. As well, please be respectful of rink property. Do not store bikes at the rink.

As always, please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns at trudy.mcgrath@nbed.nb.ca or at 738-6511.
