Hello! Today is Monday, May 4th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with messages for Raiders and their families.
 
As you know, it is a very busy time of year for schools. Raiders are very busy too! This past weekend we had students who advanced to the Provincial French Oratorical Competition and to the UNB Scratch Competition at UNBSJ. We also had our volleyball players take place in a weekend tournament and saw our RVMS Cheerleading squad win at their provincial competition. Congratulations to all of our amazing students who were busy this weekend!
 
We are also pleased to host Inglewood School’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” which will be presented at RVMS Theatre on Tuesday, May 5th and Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00 pm. Cost is $5/ticket or $15/family. A canteen and a 50/50 fundraiser will also be available with all funds going to support Inglewood School. All of the Raiders are very happy to be able to support one of our feeder schools by hosting this event in our theatre.
 
Today, the RVMS Drama Club is headed to Fredericton to participate in the Provincial Middle School Dramafest. We will be presenting our school Production, title “Through the Looking Glass” next week on Wednesday, May 13th and Thursday, May 14th in our Theatre. The cost for our production is $10 with tickets available in the school office beginning today and tickets also available at the door on show nights.
 
Finally, with only 34 days of school remaining in the year, we would like to remind students that attendance is extremely important. Students who miss time or who are chronically late for school should plan to make up some of that time during our ASAP or at lunch when you can work on some of those missing assignments.
