​1.     Toonie for Terry – If you would like to donate to the Terry Fox Foundation we are having our Terry Fox Walk on September 26 if the weather allows.  Mrs. Kidney is collecting any donations. 

2.    We are always looking for healthy snacks to be put in our pantry for those students who do not have snacks, lunches or breakfast.  If that is something you can assist with, they can be sent into the office. 

3.     We have had the first confirmed case of influenza.  We do have students with compromised immune systems so if you find out there is some type of communicable illness going through your house, please make sure to let us know.  We like to specifically let those families know.

4.    Lunches –  if your child requires a fork or spoon, we ask that you put one in their lunchbag.  We are trying to get the word out that we can not continue to supply plastic forks and spoons. 

5.    School Cash Online – We are happy that we have 69% of our population using School Cash Net.  That has increased from 50% at the beginning of the year.  If you have difficulties, give Kim a call in the office and she will walk you through it.

6.    Next Friday is our first family event.  Toy Story 4 will be shown at 6:30 in the gym.  Bring your lawnchairs, blankets, and get comfy!  Cost is $3 per person or $10 for a family.

7.    We have been adopted by Indigo East Point and Coles McAllister beginning September 14 and going to October 6.  September 27 is our Westfield Indigo evening.  From 6:30-8:00 staff will be at Indigo East Point to do face painting, have contests and draws, take book suggestions, do read alouds etc.  There will be more info going home soon.  Mark your calendars!  We want to make our Blue Fox presence known. 

8.    We are still collecting school fees and that can be paid online.  Teachers are collecting the toonie for homework pouches.

9.    Pass in your Student info forms as soon as possible so Kim can get everything into the system.

10.         Home and School has a few Hallowe’en Costumes that they will be auctioning off on Facebook beginning the first week of October.  If you have ones that you would donate to the auction, they would like to have them by the end of the month.

11.Home and School Calendars.  They would like all orders in by Wednesday of next week to go to the printers.   These 11X17 Fridge Calendars have the majority of important dates for Westfield School on them.  The cost is $10.​
