Hello! Today is Monday, May 2nd and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few messages for all Raiders and their families.
Congratulations are in order for several of our students who attended the District Heritage Fair last week. We are very proud of all our Raiders and want to let you know about the awards received:
1. Annika Dunham – Gr. 6 2nd place
2. Claire Oliver – Gr. 7 1st place and recipient of the Irish History Award
3. Colin O’Brien – Gr. 8 1st place and recipient of the Canada’s History Medal
4. Brycen Schofield – Gr. 8 is the Provincial Showcase Winner and also received the Young Citizen’s Award. Brycen will be representing ASD-S at the Provincial Heritage Fair later this spring.
Drama season is upon us and a dedicated group of young thespians have been working diligently on their production of “The Ever After”. This group will be presenting their play next week here at RVMS. Tickets should be on sale any day now for the public performances scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th and Thursday, May 12th.  Cost is $10 with all proceeds going to support our drama club here at the school.
The group will also be performing for all RVMS students and will take their play to the NB Provincial Drama Fest during the week of May 16th.
Please come out and support this hard working group of young performers.
I also want to remind all families to check out our website. We can be found at rvms.nbed.nb.ca where all memos and notices are posted and you will also have access to a variety of information about our school.
As I mentioned last week, we have a short week as this Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th are Professional Development Days for teachers and therefore, there is no school for students on those dates.
