Hello! Today is Wednesday, May 30th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with a few reminders for Raiders and their families.
Tonight is the final performance of our school play, “Haphazardly Ever After”. We are getting great reviews and tickets are still available for this evening’s performance at 7:00 pm.
Tomorrow, Thursday, May 31st from 6-8 pm is our final school dance of the year. Cost is $5 with proceeds going to support our Gr. 8 FI students who are planning a “fun day” for Centennial School. Students are required to have indoor shoes and are not permitted to bring any food or drink to the dance.
This Saturday, June 2nd is our 14th Annual Rave Run. This is a 5 km run or walk with all proceeds going to support physical activities at RVMS. Our recently added “workout” room was funded from Rave Run proceeds.  All Raiders, past and present and their families are welcome to participate. We have registration forms in the office.
I have had a few inquiries about students missing school to attend closing ceremonies at the local elementary school. Please reconsider this. The elementary school closings are for parents and guardians and students who are not in attendance here at RVMS, will not be allowed to participate in after-school or evening events at our school on that day.
We are preparing for our Gr. 8 trip to Quebec (June 13-16) and more information should be going home with students tomorrow.

Tuesday, June 5th             Parent Info Session 6:30 pm
Wednesday, June 6th      Half-day for students (noon dismissal)
Thursday, June 7th           ASD-S Middle Level Track & Field (pm)
Friday, June 8th                  WE are Silent at RVMS
Friday, June 8th                  Final Pep Rally (pm)
