Parents and caregivers are advised an upcoming events.  On Thursday, May 4th the PSSCs of the four high schools will host their third and final It Takes A Village to Raise A Teen parent session for the year at Harbour View High.  The focus of this session is Youth Anxiety for parents and our guest speaker Dr. Daniel Chorney will provide an informative session on anxiety and parenting strategies.  There will also be a very good mix of professionals from local organizations who provide services for youth who will be on hand before and after to answer any questions specific to access and service.  Some of these include Cdn Mental Health, Gentle Path, Teen Resource Centre, PEER SJ, LINK Program and ISD.  The target audience is of course to the parents of middle and high school students but would welcome parents from any level if they have interest in attending.
