Overseas 2018: Germany, Italy & Switzerland

We have partnered with EF Educational Tours, a world leader in educational travel for over 50 years, to travel to Germany, Italy & Switzerland on March 1-10, 2018. On this tour, the students will experience new cultures and visit important landmarks around the Alps for a comprehensive understanding of the region’s people and traditions. A few of the highlights are: Neuschwanstein Castle: King Ludwig’s retreat nestled in Germany’s beautiful Bavarian region and served as the inspiration for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle; Mount Pilatus: for a breathe taking view of the Alps overlooking Lucerne in central Switzerland and Venice «The Floating City» renowned for its beauty and romantic setting.

Overseas 2017: Grand Tour of Italy

Global awareness is more essential than ever for our children, and the best way to become globally aware is by travelling abroad. Experiencing new cultures opens students’ eyes to the world and provides valuable life skills to help them prepare for the future.

More and more colleges and universities are looking for international experience on students’ applications to set them apart. Travel isn’t just educational; it’s an investment that gives your child an advantage in a competitive world.

With that in mind, Simonds High is excited to announce that a group of students and teachers from Simonds High School are traveling on an educational tour to: The Grand Tour of Italy from March 2-11, 2017

On this tour, students will experience new cultures and visit important landmarks such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Coliseum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome as well as the floating city of Venice. The cost of the 10-day trip is currently $3380 as the $100 discount has been extended until April 30, and the price is locked in for EVERYONE until May 31st.

Disney World March 2017

The Walt Disney World Trip will take place from March 3rd to March 11th, 2017. The itinerary for the trip is as follows:

March 3rd and 4th – travel to Walt Disney World

March 5th – Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom

March 6th – Hollywood Studios

March 7th – EPCOT

March 8th – Magic Kingdom

March 9th – day of shopping, additional park day or just sight seeing

March 10th – depart at noon

March 11th – arrive back in Saint John

The cost of the teacher chaperoned trip is $1960.00 Canadian (45% exchange) based on 42 students ($1350 American) and includes:

- accommodations at an Buena Vista Suites (5 to a room). Includes FULL breakfast! On site security if provided.

- $20.00 for meals each day (all meals except Friday, March 4th)

- 4 day park pass with Park Hopper option

- all travel costs both to and from Florida as well as when we are in Florida

- A day of shopping and sightseeing or 5 day at the parks

Overseas 2016: Paris, the Riviera and Rome

The Overseas Trip 2016; Paris, the Riviera and Rome, took place over the last March Break. The students had a wonderful time.

Overseas Trip 2014

Paris, Florence & Rome was a 9-day tour offered during March Break 2014 through EF Educational Tours. Students travelled through two countries from Paris to Milan, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena and Rome. The students visited the following locations:

Paris - the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, the Champs Elysees, Monmartre, Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe

Florence – the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, “the David” and other famous sculptures

Rome – the Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, The Roman Forum, Vatican City
