Information Items:

- Our fall fundraiser was a success with approximately $3800 in profits for our school. This is the fourth year using the same company with similar products, so next year we will be offering something different. Thank you again for the support with this initiative.

- Our Career Expo will take place on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 3rd. Ms. Casey is still looking for a few parents who would be willing to showcase their careers for the students. Please email her at Kerry.Casey@nbed.nb.ca if you are able to help.

- We would like to welcome two kindergarten support workers, Kerry Baxter and Christine Furlong to F.E.S. It is wonderful to have these ladies helping in our kindergarten classes.

-We are currently in need of two volunteers to help with our fluoride program one Friday a month. The Fluoride coordinator currently has two volunteers and with two more each person would only be required to assist once a month. Fluoride is prepared for classroom distribution Friday mornings between 7:45-8:15. If you are able to assist, please email me at Bonnie.Hierlihy@nbed.nb.ca or call the school at 847-6206. We will pass any names received on to the coordinator.

-Next week is our last week of fall running club for our grade 3,4, and 5 students. We look forward to spring running club starting in April.

-Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the after school cross country meets over the past five or six Wednesdays. Thank you to families for taking your children to these events.

-Our next P.S.S.C. meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 17th at 7pm. We would love to expand our membership so please email me at Bonnie.Hierlihy@nbed.nb.ca to get involved.  The PSSC assists the Principal in an advisory role. The committee addresses the broad issues related to the education of all students in the school, with the goal of enhancing student learning.

-On Halloween, students in grades K-2 are encouraged to wear costumes and those in grades 3-5 encouraged to wear orange and black. K-2 students are also welcome to come in black and orange if they do not want to wear costumes.
