PSSC Communication Survey

The PSSC would like to hear from you!  They  invite you to participate in a confidential survey to gather feedback on school communication and  areas we can improve on for the 2016/17 school year.  In appreciation of your feedback we will be entering all those who participate into a draw for a movie package at Cineplex. 
 
Please access the survey at the link below.  Be sure to provide your name or email address in the last survey question so you can be entered into the draw.  The survey will be open from April 27th – Monday, May 9th

Open House/Meet the Teacher Event

​The Staff of QES are looking forward to meeting all of you at our Open House/Meet the Teacher event tomorrow evening, Wednesday, September 2nd from 6:30-7:30 pm in our school gymnasium.  See you then!

Open House/Meet the Teacher Night

​The QES Open House/Meet the Teacher event will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30 p.m.

Parents and students will gather in the school gymnasium to hear opening remarks from Mrs. Creamer, the school principal and be introduced to the teaching staff, many of whom are new to QES.

The Home and School will be on hand to speak about the important role they play in the daily lives of our students and to encourage new members to join and participate in any way they can.

A short meeting will be held immediately following the gathering in the gym for parents interested in serving on the Parent School Support Committee (PSSC).  If we have a many interested parents, an election that evening may be necessary.

Finally, after our meet-and-greet in the gym, parents will head to their childs classroom to hear a brief overview of academic and behavioural expectations for the school year.

Students are welcome to bring their school supplies to the Meet the Teacher event.

Registration Forms for Grade Three and Six Program - Due Feb. 23rd

​Registration forms for students in grades 2 and 5 to select the English Prime or French Immersion Programs for grades 3 and 6 will be sent home Monday, February 16th.  The must be completed and returned to Quispamsis Elementary School no later than February 23, 2015.  Thank you.

Bus Delay Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014

​Norm's Bus - 606 is stuck on the Stockfarm Road.  We have no details other than that.  Other travel arrangements for students should be made, if possible.

Bus 644 was unable to travel down Cliff or Robbie Streets this morning.  Again, other travel arrangements should be made to school this morning, if possible.

Kindergarten Registration Week

This week is Kindergarten Registration Week.  If you, or someone you know, has a youngster who was born in 2010, they need to be registered for school this week in order to attend school in the fall.  Simply drop by Quispamsis Elementary School between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. any day this week.  You will need:  a copy of your child’s birth certificate; their N.B. Medicare card; and their up-to-date immunization record. 
 
Please pass the word along to family or friends, as we have a number of Pre-K event for parents and future students to participate in before they come to school in the fall.  The first event is an information session for parent on Kindergarten readiness skills.  This "Kick-Off to Kindergarten" will be held in the QES gym on October 30th at 6:30 p.m.   Not only will it be informative, it is a wonderful opportunity for parents in the QES community to get to know one other.
