·        On the Menu today in the Cafeteria:  Soft Beef or Chicken Tacos served with Mexican Rice and Corn, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce or Marinara Sauce.  Subline: BLT Wrap

 

·        Any Grade 11 students interested in UNB programs or admissions requirements, please come to the Work Room Tuesday, May 15th for a Grade 11 information workshop beginning at 12:30.  Everyone Welcome!

 

·        There is a Grad Class meeting TODAY during Advisory.  Grads – head to the Theatre now!  Bring a writing utensil.

 

·        Prom Dinner tickets are now on sale!  Prom dinner is a formal, 3 course dinner held at Kings Church at 5:30 pm on the day of Prom, Wednesday – JUNE 20TH.  Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance.  Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Jones in Room 244.

 

·        Happy Twin Day!  Don’t forget to bring your twin to the Lobby and take some awesome photos at lunch.  Also, you can come to the courtyard and tie dye something to wear tomorrow.  Don’t forget $2 and some white clothes!

 

·        There will be a Parent and Student Post-Secondary funding info session in the KVHS library Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30 p.m.  Anyone looking for information on student loans, scholarships or other government funding should bring their parents and attend this event.  For more information please contact Trish Rodd in the Work Room.

·        This past weekend, our students participated in the Provincial French Oratorical Competition.  I would like to congratulate all of the participants.  

 

Grade 12 late French Immersion: Diyasha Sen won first place with a 2000.00 bursary and she will attend the National competition with a paid trip for two to Ottawa on June 2.  Diysha’s achievements with the Canadian Parents’ for French Art Oratoire include first place in Grade 9, second place in Grade 10 and first place in both Grades 11 and 12.  She is KVHS’s most decorated Crusader of all time and we would like to wish her luck and success at the National Competition.  CONGRATULATIONS Diyasha.

 

·        2019 Yearbook Committee is looking for applications for editors, photographers, and page designers.  If interested application forms can be found by the Yearbook Office and the Bulletin board in the lobby.  5 Students will be sent to a Year book camp so no experience is necessary.  See Mrs. Aasen-Haines if you have any questions.

 

·        Monday, May 28th will be the last Sexual Health Clinic of the year.  If you need to see the Nurse before the summer be sure to sign up in Guidance or text the number 343-6749.

 

·        Attention Crusaders!  We will be having a decades themed Coffee House next Thursday, May 17thIt will be from 6 – 8 pm. And cost will be $5.00.  There is a Sign Up sheet on the Arts board for anybody who would like to perform.  All performers are encouraged to sing songs from the 50’s – 2005.  There will be a meeting the performers has changed to Wednesday after announcements at the Blocks!

 

·        Attention all Gamers of KVHS.  Looking to prove your gaming worth?  The Classic Gaming Club will be hosting the first ever Marion Kart Champions League for the racers of KVHS.  For more information, visit the table set up in the lobby by the Theatre at lunch.

 

·        Car Club will meet today after school.
