KVHS Announcements    -  January 18, 2018
 
 
·         Seed applications are now available for grads looking for summer employment and attending post-secondary school in the fall.     www.nbjobs.ca/seed_landing/
 
·         Friday, January 19 will be a special day at KVHS called “Hats on for Justice”. Students can pay $1 to get a red sticker to put on your hat so you can wear it for a day. All proceeds will support Just Mailman, a grade 9 student here at KV wswho wears a red hat everyday because of his brain tumour. It would be such an amazing sign of support to see our whole student body wearing red stickers and hats so bring your money for next Friday – Hats on for Justice” day.
 
·         Students who need to write exams in an alternate location must sign up in the Crusader Centre this week.
 
·         Renaissance is doing a sock drive this week! Bring in your gently used or new socks to your advisory class. The advisory that brings in the most pairs of socks will win a DQ cake!
 
·         Could all members of Renaissance please meet today, Thursday January 18, at 12:30pm in Mrs. Wright’s room, room 136. New members are always welcome!
 
·         On Friday at lunch, Oulton’s College will be in the Workroom to offer information to all interested in attending Oulton’s College. Sign up today in Guidance if you plan to attend.
 
·         Thanks to all teachers and students who attended the non-traditional career fair. It was a great success and we hope to do it again in the future. And the winner of Key Industries ballot draw was Jon McKinnon. Jon, you can go to The Work Room to claim your prize. Thanks again to everyone involved from Mrs. Ashton and Mrs. Badger.
 
·         AP Psych students should report to room 402 after school today for the Chapter 2 seminar.
 
·         The sexual health nurse will not be coming to KV High during exam week and turn around days but she is available to see anyone at the KV oasis youth centre in the afternoons. Students can call KV Oasis at 847-2383 to arrange an appointment or text 343-6749.
