Sports:
Congratulations to
the Varsity Boys basketball team for their great efforts at provincials
this weekend. After a tough semifinal loss to Barnhill, the boys battled back
to beat Maplehurst in the bronze medal game to finish in the top 3 of all
middle schools in the province! Well done team! Players of the game were
awarded to Max J, Gabe V, Jude R, and Emmanuel G. Hustlers
of the game were Max J, Gabe V, Emmanuel G, and Ian S.
Max J was also a team all-star for the weekend. Great job boys!
Congratulations also
to the Varsity Girls basketball team who left if all on the court this
weekend in a tough tier 1 division at provincials. They fought hard in some
very close games but came up short in the end. All players should be proud of
their positive attitudes, aggressive play and great sportsmanship all weekend.
Your coaches and school are very proud of you!

favourite things being celebrated today. It’s International Chip Day and it’s
Pi Day! March 14, Three Fourteen 3.141592653589 and on and on forever!
This morning
grades 7 and 8 classes will be called to the gym around 9:15 am. As Mr. Stu’s
email indicated, classes should place items in their lockers before coming
down. The assembly will begin at 9:30 and last about an hour. Teachers should
sit with their classes.
Note to
students who go to the cafeteria second half of lunch. The weather and ground
conditions have now improved so beginning Monday, the cafeteria will be closed during
the second half of lunch. All students will need to go outside or to an open
classroom. As usual, be sure that there is an adult supervising the area and be
sure to have a plan before the 12:10 bell rings.
And a note
about morning entry to the building. Students with classes on the top floor, you
enter through the portable end doors. Students with homerooms on the bottom
floor, you enter through the office doors. Line up with your grade level.

away from the parked vehicles! Staff witnessed several vehicles being hit by
balls yesterday, not good! Duty staff, please move students away from the
vehicles. Beginning next Monday there will be an extra duty person outside to
