This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School. Here is your weekly edition of the HES Hawk Squawk.

What a great week of learning together along with some fun activities each day in support of Muscular Dystrophy. We were able to raise a total of $669! It was a busy week as teachers are well underway in their assessments in preparation for Report Cards at the end of the month. Pink Shirt Day was a huge success with a Sea of Pink during our Dance Off in the gym at recess. In our assembly we talked about the importance of kindness being practiced every day of the year and also speaking up in the face of bullying.

March Break is next week March 5th-9th. We hope you spend time making memories – get lots of fresh air by playing outside, read books and ensure there is a balance between active play and tech time. Time with friends and family is essential to developing positive social skills and a sense of belonging.

There was an error in the Hot Lunch today where the company sent grilled cheese and veggies instead of the mini cheese pizza which was ordered. The Home and School are aware and are dealing with this matter. Students were offered alternatives if they did not like the grilled cheese.

After School Activities: Mad Science continues Tuesday and Robotics on Friday. There will be a Robotics make up class on Monday, March 19th (due to a previous cancelled session). A Spring session will be offered for both NEW and CONTINUING Robotics students. The spring Session wioll start April 6-June 15th (10 weeks). An information and registration form is attached.

News from the HOME & SCHOOL: The April order for Hot Lunch will be available after the March Break. A reminder that your orders are due on the 20th of March for the Month of April Hot Lunch! Also, the Home and School will meet Thursday, March 15th in the library at 6:30pm
