​ATTENTION SAINT JOHN- REACHING OUT FOR SUPPORT- Another large Syrian Family has just arrived. There is no Welcome Team for them ....yet. They need a PLAYPEN or 'travel bed' and a STROLLER. A Welcome Team will help them to feel at home in a strange country. They will take turns checking in on the family and will communicate with phone apps and the help of volunteers at the hotel. They will help to assure they find an apartment placement, receive their start-up money and to find a job. With a larger family, it might mean three to five Canadian households are involved. It is a mere SIX WEEK commitment. YOU are the one who stands to benefit from years of friendship with some spectacular people who have endured displacement from their lives, family and friends. PLEASE PASS ON! Teach your children about what it means to be a GLOBAL CITIZEN. Retired active seniors, take a chance to build Saint John into an amazing multicultural city!
