Hammond River Valley Elementary School is excited to share that they are now a Heart Healthy School. The grade 5’s Championed the 5,2,1,0 Challenge and the school was awarded their new status as well as a $750.00 cheque. The money was used to buy a class set of snowshoes.

St.Stephen Elementary School's Sadie McGinn, grade 4, and Claire Young, grade 5, started their own project to celebrate and promote diversity in their school! Sadie and Claire made 50 paper dolls, each representing a different country. The paper dolls are now hanging in the school's hallway.

Compass Education Support Program would like to CELEBRATE Felicity Lively for winning first prize in ASD-S for the Royal Canadian Legion Lancaster Branch #69, 2018 Literary and Poster Contest. Felicity also placed second provincially for her Literary submission. She was presented her certificates and cash gifts this week. Felicity is a HVHS student attending Compass, will be graduating in June and is looking forward to studying at Crandall in the fall.

Fundy Middle and High School has opened their new Learning Commons!  The learning commons re-imagines the library space to create flexible, and innovating teaching and learning areas to encourage and inspire student learning. Our learning commons allows students to step outside the traditional classroom and into a comfortable, creative and technology rich environment. From white board brainstorming tables, to iPad and laptops, to comfortable seating, to teaming tables with monitors, the FMHS learning commons represents one of the most, if not the most, unique 21 century learning environment in a provincial high school. We are proud to officially open this amazing new space in our building and we are thankful for the district and the leadership of our Home and School Committee in helping make this dream a reality.​
