Kindergarten Registration 2022-2023

Kindergarten attendance is compulsory for all children who reach the age of five years on or before December 31st, 2022.  Parents, however, may defer entry into Kindergarten until September of 2023 for children who turn five between September 1st and December 31st of 2022.  Children who will not reach the age of five on or before December 31st, 2022 are not eligible for admission to kindergarten.

Registration occurs between October 12-15, 2021. Families may register their child by visiting this site (note: Newcomer and international student registration information can be found below). After registering, you will receive information about activities that support your child's transition to public school.

Your child’s school will be in touch to set up an appointment to finish the registration process. Visitors to the school will be required to wear a mask. Please do not visit the school without an appointment. Please bring with you to the appointment:

·          proof of child’s age:  birth certificate, passport, another piece of ID (e.g. immigration documents or a certificate issued by another Canadian Provincial Government indicating the date of birth)

·          proof of Immunization

You may be asked to provide proof of residency to determine if your student resides in the district catchment area. This proof can be located on a formal lease, utility bill (power, water, cable, telephone), bank statement, credit card statement, property tax assessment, or building permit that contains the parent’s name and address.

A copy of your child's Medicare number may also be requested to have on file in case of a medical emergency.

**For Newcomer and/or international students, please do not use the online registration. Instead, if your child was NOT born in Canada, or born in Canada but you are NOT Canadian citizens, or their first language is NOT English and they require English language support regardless of where they were born, please contact Lynn MacDonald, Admissions Officer directly @
