​This Week in Grade Five!

December 19-23

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our Christmas Activities this week. The kids and I certainly appreciate it! It is hard to believe it is the last week of school before Christmas Break! 

Important Dates/ Reminders: 

*Tuesday, December 20th ~ Pyjama day! We will be watching Arthur Christmas (rated G) with popcorn & hot chocolate. THere will be a Sock Hop ($2) at noon. Today is also the deadline to register for French Immersion.

*Wednesday, December 21st ~ Cookie Decorating after recess. 

*Thursday, December 22nd ~ Turkey dinner for those who ordered it. There will be a team meeting today so remember to wear your team colours! We will also be singing Chritstmas Carols in the afternoon with our Reading Buddies. 

*Friday, December 23rd ~ 11:00 AM Dismissal. 

*Tuesday, January 10th ~ First day back for students

Our learning goals:

Francais: This week we will be working on Christmas French stations to enhance our learning of Christmas and winter vocabulairy. 

Math: This week we will be working on Christmas and Winter Math stations that reinforce our learning goal of: Applying mental math strategies to solve Multiplication facts.

There will be no homework this week. Enjoy!
