Here is a look at what is going on in our classroom this week!

Our learning goals:

  • Literacy:
    • Words of the Week - prettier, reporter, hopeless, everyone, unfriendly
      • Our spelling test on the above words is on Friday

 

  • Reading Strategies -   Predict what will happen & compare / contrast characters

 

  • Writing - We are continuing on with our Persuasive Writing unit. Students will be learning how to research and add details / facts to make their writing stronger. Students will complete their Independent Pieces next week!

 

  • Math:
    • Outcome -  Students will explore how to describe attributes of quadrilaterals as well as side lengths and diagonals.

 

  • Français:   This week students will be explaining different characteristics of their pets or a pet they would like to have.

 

  • Social Studies: Students will learn about how the climate and Natural Resources affected early societies In Canada.

 

Homework:

*Be sure to work on your book reports! They are due the next week!

*Student Leaders are accepting donations to the SPCA. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
