It is hard to believe that our second last week of school is upon us! Here is a look at what is going on in our classroom:

Important Dates/ Reminders: 

*Friday, June 16 - Grade Five Field Trip to Cineplex

Save the Date! (Details to follow, be sure to check your child's Communication Bag)

*Monday, June 19 - Sock Hop

*Tuesday, June 20 - Family Picnic

*Wednesday, June 21 - Grade Five Graduation

*Thursday, June 22 - Talent Show

*Friday, June 23 - Last day of school for students (1/2 day)

Our learning goals:

• Literacy:
• Words of the Week (this is our last week of words!) -  depression, misunderstanding, adventure, favourite, biologist
• Our spelling test on the above words is on Thursday

• Reading Strategies - use text features, recognize literary elements (genre / plot) 

• Writing - This week we will be continuing our Poetry unit.

• Math:
• Outcome -  Draw Conclusions from double bar graphs (SP2)

• Français:  This week we will be creating / playing Jeopardy games to review what we have learned this year. 

• Science: Identify changes that can be made to an object without changing the properties of the material.
