Hello parents, I hope that you all had a nice long week-end. The kids seemed rested and ready to work.
Last week we went on two field trips. They were great and overall the behaviour was excellent, which means more field trips later this year. This week we are doing a Science test. We went over the first section today and will go over and practice the rest tomorrow. This is material that we have already covered and will partially determine who deserves a mark higher than 3. Participation is the main part of their Science mark this term, but I want them to get used to tests. There will be no other homework this week. Tonight have them draw out and learn the diagram of the Earth. Tomorrow night have them sit down, and read what they have practiced. Tomorrow iand Thursday will be revision days at school as well. They will have time to practice with a partner.
Tomorrow, I will send out the parent teacher interview times. Although I don't work Fridays, I will be here for the interviews.
We have a friend of mine, who is a Geologist coming in to talk to the class about rocks and fossils on Thursday. Next week, we start a unit on Exploration.
I look forward to seeing you next week. Marnie Schwarz
