​How to Play Fractions BingoTo play roll the dice; reinforce words such as numerator and denominator.

Review with the players that fractions represent parts of a whole.  Parts = numerator; Whole = denominator.

If a 2 and 4 are rolled, the smaller number is the numerator and the larger number is the denominator.  Thus we have our Whole (4) and Parts (2), so one would color in 2 parts of the of the circle cut in fourths.

OR an older child might realize that it is also the same as 1/2.

Similar conversions can be made with a whole circle for  fractions 1/1, 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5, 6/6 as they represent a whole.

For instance, if a two 6's were rolled, one might realize that that equals a whole circle.  The circle cut into sixths could also be colored in, too.

This game is a hands-on way to visualize fractions!

CReate your own BINGO card by filling spaces with fractions from 1/1 to 6/6. You won't be able to get all fractions on the Bingo Card so select the fractions you want to include
