Students have been assigned a "Winter Circles" assignment as practice for an upcoming Quiz on Thursday. The two formulas that students are responsible for both the assignment and Quiz are area and circumference of circles.

For "Winter Circles" students are to create an art piece (poster, holiday card, etc) using circles as the primary shape to create images (example: https://www.freepik.com/free-vector/christmas-ball-with-a-circles-design_757188.htm). Art pieces must be coloured and students must include a minimum of 10 different size circles of which they will record the radius and calculate diameter, circumference and area. This was assigned last week and is due on Thursday.

The Quiz is also on Thursday and will cover calculations practiced in class. Practice questions are available below for students to use at home (answers are included) in addition to the Winter Circles assignment. Word problems will also be included on the Quiz.
