I am attaching a poster outlining the process for applying for the SEED Program. This is a program that offers an opportunity for summer employment for grade 12 students who will be attending post-secondary in the fall and those in post-secondary institutions who plan on returning in the fall. If you have any questions, please see. Mrs. Long.SEED brochure 2017.pdf
This is a reminder about the grade 12 fundraiser taking place this Saturday, November 5, beginning at 2. We are meeting at the Doaktown Legion at 2:00 p.m. to set the tables and prepare the vegetables. If you have volunteered to bake a 9x13 cake with icing, please drop it off at the Legion any time between 2 and 4 so we can be sure that we have enough dessert. If you haven't made a donation of a food item, all families have been asked to donate $10 towards the purchase of the meat and other items for the supper. We also need grade 12 students to help on Saturday to get things prepared and to serve the supper, which begins at 6. Thank you to those who have given their donations already and have offered to help. Please call the school if you need more information.
Congratulatory messages for the yearbook are now open for all family members. See attached document for all details.CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE 2017Round2yearbook.doc
"It's bud the spud from the bright red mud, Rollin' down the Highway smiling"... well they're not quite from the bright red mud, but rather from Mountainview Packers, right here in New Brunswick! You guessed it, potato sales have begun. Grads will be receiving their forms on Sept. 29. All forms and money are due by October 19. And the load should arrive on October 26. If you need more forms, see Mr. Legere. We have a goal of selling more than 600 bags (30 000 lbs) this year. It is a lot of work, but here is a little added incentive for our grads: the top seller will receive their grad hoodie free of charge, and for each bag that you sell, your name will be entered into 2 draws for your choice of a grad t-shirt or 3/4 sleeve shirt.
A photographer from Harvey Studios will be at CNBA to take Graduation Gown shots. All potential graduates must have their gown shots done by Harvey Studios in order to have pghotos in the yearbook and on the composite. The sitting fee is $20.00. Each student will receive proofs in case you want to order photos. If gown photos twere already taken by Harvey Studios at an earlier date, then there is no need to have them retaken, unless you want to do so.
Following the individual photos, a bus will transport the potential graduates to two off site locations for outdoor group shots (weather permitting).
