Weekly Update November 21 - 24, 2016

Just a few reminders for this week:

- report cards go home tomorrow, Monday November 21.  Please return the envelope.
- In the report card envelope is a form with your interview time, please sign and return to confirm.
- Parent teacher interviews are Thursday evening and Friday morning.
-There is no school this Friday, November 25th
 
This week's words of the week are:  up, said, out, if,some.  The sounds this week are Letter blend focus- er, ir, ur (monster r). We are looking at the "est" word family. The poem of the week is "November Poem" and will be uploaded to the class website.
 
In writing we will continue to look at procedure (how-to) writing.  Students learned that procedure writing has a title, a goal, a materials list and steps.  Students participated in modeled writing, shared writing and began creating their own procedure pieces.
 
In math this week we will be starting new math groups and beginning to focus on addition and subtraction outcomes. 
 
In You and Your World we will be looking at the past and creating timelines.
