​This week, students will draft, revise, and edit their short story. In addition, 10 minutes of silent reading will begin each class. As this is safe school's week, disruptions may occur.

• Create an overall idea/concept for their story that originates in one of the philosophies/literary theories covered in class 
  
• Check-in their idea with Mr. Ross 
• Understand that ideas can be dropped into a situation to begin a story or one can organize an overall plot
• Understand that the best writing is when one "Writes what they know" 
  

• Understand the rules of dialogue 
  
• Draft their short story 

Wednesday
