​Terry Fox Walk 2020

2020 marks the 40th anniversary of Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope. While we are not able to hold our Terry Fox Walk in our usual fashion, each of the classes at GNMES will complete their own walk to commemorate this important event. Each student is asked to bring in a "toonie for Terry", if possible, by Wednesday, September 30th. The donations will be given to the Terry Fox Foundation to help further the cause of cancer research. It is important to note that $0.84 of each dollar goes directly to cancer research. ​

Your support of this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.​

Orange Shirt Day 2020
Wednesday, September 30th - Orange Shirt Day
This day of recognition began in 2013. The Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity for First Nation, local governments, schools, and communities to all come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope for the future generations of children. It is a day to reaffirm that EVERY CHILD MATTERS! Staff and students are welcome to wear an orange shirt (or an orange article of clothing) to show their support.

Kindergarten Registration for September 2021

​​Online registration will open Tuesday, October 13th, and can be accessed by clicking the link. This is for children who will be age 5 by December 31st, 2021.
